Morning - Begin your day with a tour of The National Heisey Glass Museum. For more than 60 years, A.H. Heisey & Co. produced world-class hand-wrought glass in its Newark factory. Today, more than 4,500 pieces of glassware and artifacts are showcased in the historic Samuel K. King residence, an 1831 Greek Revival-style home. Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm; Sunday 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Admission: $4.00 for adults, children & HCA members admitted free. 169 W. Mid-Morning - Visit Downtown Newark and view the Licking County Courthouse. Experience a courtroom that resembles a page from a Hollywood script with mahogany railings, stained glass and hand painted murals. Open to the public during normal operating hours, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday, when court is not in session. Call 740/670-5770 to verify access.

Afternoon - In the first half of the 20th century, the Buckeye Lake Amusement Park featured big bands, daredevils, roller coaster, midway and more while entertaining nearly 50,000 visitors a day at its peak. Today, pieces are preserved in The Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society Museum. Hours: Tuesday - Sunday 1:00 - 4:00pm. Evening - Enjoy a Cranberry bog tour May through October on Queen of the Lake II at Buckeye Lake. Call ahead for hours or to make a reservation. . Admission: $10.00 for adults, $7.00 seniors, $5.00 children 740/929-1998, www.buckeyelakehistory.org
